DIY Entertaining Idea: Paper Flowers

March 16, 2011 by Morgan

Here’s a fun little tip for all of that left over wrapping paper you might have lying around.

Paper Flowers 1

I’m a huge fan of using a roll as an impromptu table runner or cut up as individual place mats (it helps incorporate beautiful patterns and colors – plus you can toss it when you’re done), but I love the idea of using this simple Martha Stewart tutorial to create small flowers for either a bouquet or even as individual stems wrapped around your silverware or wine glass.

Here’s the full DIY instructions.

Beautiful, right? Perfect for a shower, birthday or even a wedding. I love how simple and classic it looks!

This is really fun and very creative! Who could think that adding paper flowers to a bouquet would be so interesting and beautiful? Thank you for such a great idea!

Good use of the paper to make flowers. They look real.. My nephew makes flowers out of all duct tape in all colors that look real.

Such a neat idea! I just love that you can toss it when you’re done – easy clean up + beautiful too!

    I agree with both above ^ (Nancy&BehindtheLashes)

You know,…we do have a baby shower coming up too and this would be perfect for a flower idea (if we are doing any?)

That’s really adorable. It makes the bouquet look much fuller and that pop of color is great. Thanks!

The flowers are lovely, but what I really thought was cool was the way that she cut a little tab into the placemat and put the person’s name there. Very elegant and simple solution to the whole ‘where’s everyone sitting’ problem.
