Valentine's Day Giveaway Social Couture Red Modern Dinner Party Romantic 3

Today is the last day to enter the Valentine’s Day tablescape giveaway!

A giveaway valued at over $120 and one I am so excited about. How many wonderful ways (and for how many events!) could the above table setting be used for? Not to mention a most romantic dinner for Valentine’s Day (we included 4 table settings just to be sure you could use everything again and again!).

PDB has partnered with Social Couture (have you seen their newest vase corset featured on HWTM here?) for amazing decor. Flytrap (of Etsy) showcases her beautiful hand-screen printed canary napkins as well.

Don’t forget to enter over at this post!

Adventures in Thailand… Part 3

February 4, 2010 by Morgan

chiangmai2_main2

Our trip has come to an end… it has been a wonderful adventure and there’s just one last installment in this little series. sniff.

I’ve put off this last post for quite some time, it’s already the beginning of February and we arrived back home in mid-January! I was actually trying to track down the above picture (It’s not a great picture of a picture…) because I didn’t have it in a digital format. Guess where it was? In the back zipper pocket of my suitcase the entire time. Go figure.

I promise this is the last Adventures Abroad post! You might be growing very tired of them, but I thought it was suiting to close out our trek with a proper farewell. If you have a few extra minutes and want to peak in on the rest of our trip to Australia, New Zealand and Thailand, head on over here.

The rest of our time in Chiang Mai was filled with cave spelunking, bamboo rafting, hill tribe village hikes and elephant rides. Follow the jump for some fun pictures!…

DIY Handmade Winter White Flowers Cotton, Batting Glass Beads 4

I came across these beautiful handmade flowers while searching for the perfect year-round indoor bouquet – a little something lovely and sweet for a bud vase next to the bed, on the dresser or perched up in one of our doorless cabinets.

DIY Handmade Winter White Flowers Cotton, Batting Glass Beads 2

Imagine my surprise when Rasa, the artist behind these creations and LiRaDesigne, not only offered to give me a sneak peak at the process of making the stems, but also step-by-step directions to share here!

DIY Handmade Winter White Flowers Cotton, Batting Glass Beads

I adore the simple and soft look of the cotton flowers – the glass beads in the center add a delicate touch.

Rasa calls them ‘Waiting for Spring’ Winter Flowers, but I would display them all the time for every season. If you’d like to purchase the finished product instead of making each by hand, check out LiRaDesigne shop here. They’re very much within the budget!

For step-by-step directions (with a super helpful photo gallery), follow the jump! …
