پیلونیدال چیزی نیست جز سوراخ یا تونلی
یا حفره (سینوس) در زیر پوست است که در قسمت پایین کمر، در
خط چین باسن ایجاد میشود و زمانی
که عفونی شده و کیست یا آبسه ایجاد می کند گاهی ممکن است به صورت گودی در پوست ظاهر شود و به طور کلی
باعث نگرانی نیست. اما در صورت عفونی شدن ممکن است
به مداخله پزشک نیاز داشته باشد. یک پزشک
ممکن است یک برنامه درمانی مناسب را برای کمک به خلاص شدن از شر
عفونت و ناراحتی که باید با آن مواجه شوید،
پیشنهاد کند.
هنگامی که پیلونیدال عفونی می شود، می تواند منجر
به دو حالت شود، یعنی:
کیست پیلونیدال: یک توده نزدیک
که با مایع، مو و بقایای پوست پر می شود.
آبسه پیلونیدال:یک وضعیت ملتهب و برآمده
که پر از چرک می شود.
پیلونیدال ممکن است به دلیل وجود مایع یا چرک در داخل آن به صورت توده
ظاهر شود. اگر پیلونیدال عفونی شود و کیست تشکیل دهد، ممکن
است نیاز به درمان فوری داشته باشد.
