Master Bedroom: the Inspiration Board

August 2, 2010 by Morgan

Hope you had a lovely weekend! I’m back to working on the master bedroom… and here’s a look at my ideas for the new space. Patterns and fabrics have yet to be decided but I’d love to mix that bohemian/eclectic feel with softer/traditional elements (like batik fabric for an occasional chair with sheer white panels for the windows, a bright sunburst mirror with a conventional everyday dresser).

My colors are swirling around in the navy, tan and brown ranges but I know a “pop” of something would be ideal! Should it be brick red? A muted yellow? Maybe a sea glass green? Oh decisions decisions…

PS here’s a reminder of the before!

I love how a room that can look so plain and ugly, and seem almost impossible to become something of beauty, turns out truly inspiring!

Wow. Nice bedroom. I love it. Thanks for posting this article. I love the interior of it, so calming and relaxing. I got many ideas on how can I remodel my room.

Where is that gold mirror on your inspiration board from? It’s beautiful!

Hi Eunice, Thank you for your comment! I have been trying to track down the source for that mirror for a while… I added it to my ‘inspirational images’ ages ago and didn’t save the link. When I find it, I will definitely update the post!

Love upholstered headboards! Especially when they are in an intricately carved pattern!

I vote for sea glass green! I love the diy map artwork! I saw a dresser with a map decoupaged on the front in this months “Country Living.” Maps are one of my favoite things to decorate with!
